Sacha Fenestraz is an highly-talented French-Argentine driver currently racing for Nissan in FIA Formula E.

The 2017 season saw Sacha attract the attention of teams and fans alike after winning the Formula Renault Eurocup Championship - finishing on the podium 17 times in only 23 races. His stunning performances subsequently earned him a place in the prestigious Renault Sport Academy.

The following season saw him tackle the highly-competitive FIA Formula 3 European Championship, where he delivered a race win and several trips to the rostrum. Sacha’s success continued in 2019, where he spent the year in Asia furthering his career.

Coming home with eight wins and 18 podiums, Sacha became Japanese Formula 3 Champion. In the same season, he also tackled Super GT300, finishing sixth in class and scoring a podium finish.

In 2020, Sacha became a professional racing driver for Toyota and raced for them in Super GT500 & Super Formula. He scored four podium finishes in his rookie year and claimed fourth place in the standings in Super GT. He also competed in Super Formula, scoring a podium on his debut.

Due to difficulties obtaining a Japanese visa amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Sacha’s 2021 plans were put on hold for the majority of the year. He made his return to Super GT500 & Super Formula with Toyota for the final three rounds of the season as restrictions were lifted, claiming one podium in Fuji.

Back to a full programme in 2022, Sacha enjoyed an incredible year in Japan, finishing runner-up in Super Formula as he claimed his first win at Sugo. The winning didn’t stop there as Sacha bounced back from a difficult start to the Super GT season by taking his maiden victory at Fuji.

Sacha showcased his impressive versatility with a one-off appearance with Dragon in the final Formula E round of the year. His strong display earned him a full-time drive with Nissan for 2023 in the all-electric series.

A difficult first half of the season for Nissan meant points finishes weren’t realistic for Sacha in his rookie year. However, he was able to demonstrate his lighting speed as the season progressed with fourth-places in Monaco and Jakarta the highlight as well as a maiden pole position in Cape Town.

As he looks to build on the experience he gained in one of motorsport’s most competitive championships, Sacha remains with Nissan in 2024.
